Guardian Alarm Systems, a CHeKT-certified dealer, met with the homeowner and introduced the CHeKT Visual Verification. This solution connected their existing alarm panel and cameras to deliver live video alerts to both the homeowner and Guardian’s monitoring team.
Guardian repositioned three exterior cameras to align with motion detection zones and paired an analytics-enabled camera with the Video Control Panel for enhanced event detection. Detection perimeters were fine-tuned in the video verification system to minimize nuisance alarms and improve overall reliability.
The CHeKT Outcome
With real-time video verification in place, both the homeowner and monitoring center operators could see what triggered each alarm, helping filter out false events and prioritize true emergencies. The homeowner quickly recognized the value of the CHeKT mobile app, which provided instant video clips via SMS and gave them a greater sense of involvement in the dispatch process.
