The Security Challenge
In California’s Central Valley, warehouses sitting off the Hwy 99 and I-5 corridors are frequent targets for theft because of their remote locations and easy escape routes. One regional wine distributor was experiencing these exact issues — inventory losses, disrupted shipments, and an inability to guarantee 100% order fulfillment.
With a half-million-square-foot facility and dozens of vulnerable access points, traditional alarms weren’t enough. They needed a solution that could monitor everything in real time, verify alarms instantly, and stop losses before they spread further.
Our Partner’s Approach
Integrator Alamo Alarm deployed over 50 cameras and 5 CHeKT Video Control Panels, strategically positioned at every egress, dock door, and inventory storage area. Each panel seamlessly integrated with the distributor’s security devices, functioning as an open platform compatible with any triggering device, alarm panel, and ONVIF camera — whether IP or high-definition over coax.
When an alarm was triggered, the CHeKT Video Control Panel securely transmitted video in real time to the central monitoring station, giving operators immediate visibility and the ability to decide whether to dispatch police, notify the customer, or dismiss a false trigger.
The CHeKT Outcome
The CHeKT Visual Verification system secured over 90 dock roll-up doors, 35 man-doors, more than 20 motion detectors, and the client’s entire inventory. Theft-related losses were eliminated, police dispatches became faster and more precise, and the distributor regained full confidence in meeting shipment demands without disruption.
Why Proactive Visual Security Matters
CHeKT transforms passive cameras into active security tools. For businesses with sprawling facilities, the system not only provides real-time “eyes on sensors” but also scales easily as new areas, devices, or vulnerabilities emerge.
